The Geoscience and Physics Center at the University of Akron is going vertical with structural steel now being placed on the deep pier foundations required by this challenging site. The extensive renovation of Crouse Hall includes everything from new windows, insulation, and finishes to a complete replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems to serve the highly complex lab program. Once complete, renovations to the original 1948 building will bring two large auditoriums, new classrooms and a dynamic entry lobby to improve efficiency, safety and comfort in the heart of campus.
