Bialosky Cleveland presented refined plans for The Pearl, a 130-unit mixed-use apartment building, to Cleveland's Near West Design Review Committee (NWDR) on June 8, where it received unanimous Schematic Design Approval. Located on the southern edge of the Duck Island neighborhood at the intersection of West 25th Street and Columbus Road, the eight-story building provides dramatic views of downtown, the Cuyahoga River Valley, and adjacent neighborhoods.
The NWDR committee applauded the architectural design and its multi-modal sensitive site planning, which proposes redesigning the high-traffic West 25th and Columbus Road intersection creating a "lily-pad" like the public plaza and small park space. This new public amenity coordinates with the Greater Cleveland RTA 25Connects project, which turns West 25th Street into a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Corridor and the Cleveland Metropark's nearby Redline Greenway multi-use path.
The Pearl will be presented to the Cleveland City Planning Commission for final schematic approval on Friday, June 17. We are excited to continue our collaboration with project developer Realife Group t0 bring this innovative project to Cleveland’s Near West Side!
