Bialosky + Partners' employees and their families will be participating in the annual “RACE FOR THE PLACE” on Sunday June 2.  This is an annual 5K Race/1 mile Walk held at Beachwood Place to benefit The Gathering Place. The Gathering Place is an awesome, LOCAL non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to offer support for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. Their mission is to provide programs and services that focus on the emotional, social, physical and spiritual needs of individuals with cancer as well as their support network of family and friends. All their services are offered absolutely 100% free of charge and include cancer support groups, resource libraries and support staff, tai chi and yoga classes, nutritional classes, art and massage therapies, wig salon and an extensive array of children’s programs. Again, everything they do is provided at no charge!  In order to do this, the Gathering Place holds a series of fundraising events throughout the year, but none is bigger or brings in more funding than the RACE!

Bialosky + Partners became involved with the Gathering Place in 2000 when they opened their doors to the public for the first time. Since then, we’ve designed their headquarters in Beachwood, OH on Commerce Park Drive and their satellite facility in Westlake, OH on Sharon Drive. We have worked alongside Landscape Architect Virginia Burt of Visionscapes on the breathtaking Healing Garden at their Beachwood location and continue to support them through our architectural talents and resources. As a result, our team has grown very close to the amazing Gathering Place staff over the years and consider them our friends and family.  We are excited to take part in their annual fundraiser and hope to raise a considerable donation!
